Welcome to the course! Read this first

Hey there,

Thank you again for joining the course!

I want to personally welcome you because you've just invested in a "Time Asset".

Time Assets are the things you spend 10 minutes today that will save you 100X more time in the future, in contrast to Time Debts — things that save 10 minutes today, but will make you lose 100X more time in the future. (i.e. "top 10 hacks")

  • Setting up systems is a time asset. Using random out-of-context hacks and tools that only solve temporary feelings, but not faulty assumptions is a time debt.
  • Designing your environment to make good behaviors easier is a time asset. Relying on motivation and willpower all the time is a time debt.
  • Preparing a plan is a time asset. Doing all-nighters is a time debt.
  • Making the most out of a lecture is time asset. Capturing raw information in your notes is a time debt.
  • Formulating quality review material is a time asset. Re-reading your notes and lecture slides is a time debt.

More importantly:

Learning how to learn is a time asset. Sticking to conventional methods that don't work is a time debt.

The more you remember from what you learn, the easier new learning becomes. In contrast, the more you forget, the harder new learning becomes.

In the short-term, forgetting forces you to go back to what you've already studied.

In the long term, things aren't so pretty:

  • A lot of potential careers have been lost because of forgetting
  • A lot of entrance exams
  • A lot of final exams
  • A lot of career exams
  • A lot of job opportunities

For many, if only they weren't so forgetful, they'd finally be able to make the people who believe in them proud. For some, they might just have a little bit more confidence in themselves if they weren't so forgetful.

Or for those like me, if they weren't so "forgetful," they'd be able to redeem their failing grades by scoring higher as they finally get serious in college majors.

That is where the course comes in

The goal of this course is to help you set up a repeatable process for remembering what you learn in the long-term

After all, as you'll discover soon, this is the BEST way to study efficiently. You learn things once, and remember it with just a small time spent on maintenance.

Sounds too good to be true? Well, not really.

You'll discover a process that makes this result predictable.
